“Dear Skyler, It’s been quite a while. And we still think about you. I’ve been sharing your story to all people I know ever since. Your smile will always be precious, your every movement will always be remembered. Thank you for reminding us of the things that we will always be grateful for. Thank you for touching our lives in a very special way, thank you for reminding us that we are here to give love. So many people broke into tears when they saw your video. That smile you made after the operation is priceless. Your mom and dad are so lucky for being able to hold you, and see you smile. That was the most precious gift they have ever received. I thank God for giving us the chance to see you, even just in photos and videos. In every angle, you’re so adorable. We love you Skyler, and you will always be in our hearts.” – Janice F. (Skyler’s 2nd cousin) (May 29, 2012)
“Dear Skyler, Here on earth, humans tend to move about a lot – more often than not, at an incredibly frantic pace. For years we’ve been at it this way; fluttering between work and home, friends and family. Truth be told, we’ve become quite good at all of this bustling about. So good, in fact, that we often forget to be still. We forget to breathe, to love, to take in the moments and enjoy them for the blessings they are. Most of the time we keep on like this, but every once and a while, someone very special comes along with enough beauty and light to show us another way. You Skyler, are just such an angel, blessing us briefly with your sweetness and reminding us how precious life truly is. I wish I would have had the chance to hold you, dear sweet girl, to see you face to face. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to make that happen in time, I truly am. But I know you know how very much you’ve touched my heart, even from hundreds of miles away. And I know you know I’m not alone. Little Angel, your short stay here on earth brought you into the hearts and lives of many, and for each of us, without doubt, we are the better for it. Thank you for the gift of presence and conscious gratitude, for being a strong and beautiful little light in the world. Thank you for coming into our family and for blessing your wonderful parents with so much love. Missing you,” – Jen S. (Skyler’s 2nd cousin) (May 22, 2012)
“What a precious little daughter, so beautiful. Hold your memories close to your hearts until you see her again in Heaven. You are in my prayers. Jesus said that children are precious in His site. Skyler Sue is sitting with Him now. May you be comforted in Gods love.” – Becky R. (May 17, 2012)

and all of you.” – Sheila (May 16, 2012)

“What a precious little Skyler and awesome Mom and Dad. I am happy you had time with Skyler and you’re able to understand that our children are a gift from God and we will all be together again. It still hurts terribly, and I’m sorry you’re going through this. My prayers are with you and your family, and I’m thankful Skyler is no longer in pain. You were great parents to that baby girl. Thank you for sharing your story. God Bless you and be with you as you heal.” – Linda G. (May 16, 2012)
“I just read the obituary in the news paper and came right to the computer to see the site. I felt like I needed to tell you that as parents with a special needs child like yourselves, keeping a blog and sharing it with the world is very courageous. She was a beautiful little girl and I can tell the light of your life. In this time of sorrow I pray you find hope and healing. That in some ways you can move forward with less pain but more memories of the time you had. That those memories and faith will help you through. My deepest condolences to your entire family. “- – Jessica L. (May 16, 2012)

“Skyler my little Angel, you’re here for a short time, but memories will last forever. You have the most caring, loving Mom and Dad. When your mommy gave us the good news about her expecting, I was so excited and happy for her, because I knew that moment, she’s gonna be a great mother that you could ask for.
I’m so blessed and thankful to have you as my Goddaughter Skyler, you brought so many gifts of love to our life. We will never forget you. Always remember, you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, you’ll always be with us. I LOVE YOU.” - Margie S. (May 15, 2012)
“There are no words eloquent enough or sensitive enough to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. There is only one comfort I can offer, and that is though she is no longer in your arms, she is in the loving protecting arms of Jesus. There is no safer place for her to be.” – Rick P. (May 14, 2012)
“I was crying with your family when I saw your last moments. Even though we’ve never met, I know for sure that we will meet in heaven. Your mom is one of the most unique persons I’ve known. I congratulate both your parents for bringing you into this world, even though your time with them was too short. (“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18)” – Nollie (May 14, 2012)
